SMS gateway

Connects the SMS provider that sends text alerts and one-time codes.

Set up

1. Open Integrations in the navigation for your role.
2. Choose Add integration, then select SMS gateway.
3. Enter Provider (Twilio, Vonage, AWS SNS or Custom HTTP); Account ID; Auth token; Sender number or ID.
4. Choose Connect. Helm tests the connection before it saves the integration.

If the test fails, you can choose Save without verifying. The integration is then saved with an error status until you fix it.

What the screen shows

The form asks you to choose a provider, then enter the account ID, auth token and sender. The sender is either an E.164 phone number or an alphanumeric sender ID of 3 to 11 characters.

Notes

• Use the E.164 format for phone numbers, starting with + and the country code.
• The SMS channel uses this gateway, so connect it before you add phone numbers to SMS alerts.
