Webhook

Sends alert payloads to PagerDuty or to any HTTPS endpoint you run. Payloads are signed with a secret you provide.

Set up

  1. Open Integrations in the navigation for your role.
  2. Choose Add integration, then select Webhook.
  3. Enter Endpoint URL (HTTPS); Signing secret; Send: All alerts, Warning and above, or Critical only.
  4. Choose Connect. Helm tests the connection before it saves the integration.

If the test fails, you can choose Save without verifying. The integration is then saved with an error status until you fix it.

What the screen shows

The form asks for the endpoint URL, a signing secret and the alert level. After connecting, the integration shows the host of the endpoint and the alert level, so you can confirm where payloads go.

Notes

  • Use the signing secret on your receiving end to check that a payload came from Helm.
  • For PagerDuty, paste the events API endpoint for your service.
